It’s a Small World After All

6/21/2012 posted by Jenn

Hi Y’all:

Remember the Johnny Cash song, “I’ve been everywhere” ? Well that’s where we went today. Luckily, I found this old quote from Einstein giving us official permission to daydream mid-day. Who knows what good things it might lead to…

Dreaming about all the places we want to run started me thinking about travel, adventure, & wanderlust. That landed me on Pinterest and you know what happens then – goodbye 11pm to 12am….

Just for fun, I decided to compile our travel agenda:

Hawaii -New Zealand-Africa-Russia-Ireland-Slovenia-Seattle-Palos Verdes-St John USVI-Greece-the Great Wall-the French Countryside-Italy-Colorado-London-the beach-New England-anywhere it is 60 degrees-country roads West Virginia-Pacific NW-Virginia-anywhere cooler than Texas-Minnesota-St. Lucia-Antigua-Central Park-Montana-Wisconsin-the road to Hana-Nova Scotia-Italy-Jackson Hole-California-San Diego-Garden of the Gods-in Forest Gump’s footsteps-Pacific Coast Highway-Yucatan-Adirondacks NY-Port Elizabeth South Africa-Austin-North Carolina-fall countrysides in far off countries-Morocco-Virginia beach with family-Highlands of Scotland- West Virginia-the Gorge-Muir Beach-Switzerland-Nashville-Bali-in the sunshine-Rhone France-Oregon-Paris-Iceland-Rocky Mt National Park-Matterhorn-Cinque Terre-Swiss Alps-Grand Canyon-Turkey-Wales-Amsterdam-China-Calabria-Red Rock-Austria-anywhere in God’s great universe-Disneyworld-Caribbean-Dolomites-Rockefeller State Park-New Orleans-Steens Mountain-Netherlands-& in the snow!

Tired? Yeah, we ran pretty far! Hawaii & Ireland were repeated often. Trisha mentioned listening to Galway Girl in Ireland so I had to go discover this (new to me) song. 3 more minutes of daydreaming and little Gerard Butler couldn’t be a bad start to the morning, right?

The contest idea came to me on the spur of the moment when the Seattle gray was getting me down, but as often happens the clouds broke in the afternoon and I got a short, good run in the last bits of evening sun on my mountain. I got home just before dark and asked Greg to snap a quick pic as I was wearing our ‘Into The Wild Blue’ tee. Shh! Don’t tell anyone I posted this cheesy, homemade picture here and instead notice how pretty the tee color is!

So Mercedes Smith if you’d like the ‘Into the Wild Blue’ tee or the Firecracker tank, shoot me an email (jenn@ runprettyfar.com) because you were our winner. We had 131 entrants between FB & Twitter and Random Auto Generator chose 99. Lucky you!

For the rest of us, I’ll re-post this little lovely that our simply amazing designer Cassidy recently made for me when I came home from running around the world…. xoxo, Jenn
